Developers with Pivot Skills
Dozens of second career developers looking for their next gig. Juniors to seniors and everyone in between, you'll find them all here.

Software Developer | React | JavaScript | Public Health
As a results-driven individual with a background in software development and public health specializing in biostatistics, what I love most about tech is forming meaningful connections. Other skills I bring include detail-oriented, organizer, problem-solver, and team collaborator. I am passionate about both med-tech and green-tech.

Javascript | HTML | React | Node | Web Development
I am a front-end developer. My mission is to create highly intuitive products with a keen eye for detail, functionality, and a cohesive user experience. In my storied history, I have been a filmmaker, a professional touring keyboard player in a funk/soul band, an audio engineer and producer, a video editor, a motion graphics designer, an AV technician, a videographer, and an instructor. Though I loved working in all these fields, I often found myself wishing I could go deeper, build the software that interfaces with the camera, engineer the programs that help us create art, open up the 1950's Hammond organ and rebuild it to make it function like new. When I discovered coding as a real path I could take, my eyes were opened to a world where I can take all my creative skills and merge them with my technical skills. It is a joy to build something from the ground up using something as abstract as lines of characters. When it comes to software development, I am hooked. Aside from my professional work, I am an avid science and sci-fi nerd and I play a talkbox. Let's chat about science and music!

Creative frontend developer, inspired by lived experience to improve accessibility and inclusivity in tech.
My background is in creative writing, editing, teaching, animal care, and customer support. I made the pivot into tech because I wanted to pursue work that would be intellectually challenging and a bit creative, while providing more stability than I was able to find as a writer. I dove into frontend development entirely unprepared, and discovered that I truly love coding. It lights up my brain in many of the same ways writing does, and there is always a new thing to learn. I completed an 8 month, intensive, project-based, frontend development program at Turing School of Software and Design, which is the first fully accredited bootcamp. Since graduating, I have also worked as an apprentice software engineer at Kin Insurance.

Deeply loyal software developer with a passion for constant growth and improvement.
I started my journey in software development in May of 2021 when I helped a friend redesign and build a website. I was immediately intrigued and decided to pursue my newfound passion for development by entering a 7 month intensive, project-based program. During my time at Turing School of Software and Design I became very proficient in Javascript and React, and solidified my passion for software development. As a massage therapist and athlete, I have always been body-centered and movement focused. I have learned how to break down large problems into smaller parts, and see how each part plays into the big picture. I spent many years managing teams in the restaurant industry, and have learned a lot about interpersonal communication and the amazing skill of truly listening. Once I found software development, I was able to merge my outstanding ability to manage and communicate within teams, and my passion for problem solving, code architecture, and solving real-world problems. Given the opportunity, I would love to bring my skillset to your company and help both you and I continue to grow.

Front-End Developer | Former Film Production Technician
I’ve always enjoyed collaboratively working to solve technical challenges. This is one aspect that drew me to working on the production side of the entertainment industry as a camera operator. For the last five years, my day-to-day involved adapting to ever-changing time constraints and technical requirements, while maintaining a calm and creative headspace for collaborating with my peers. After five tough-but-rewarding years, I decided that I wanted to continue leveraging my creativity in a fast-paced, technical career, but in an industry where I could have more control over my work. Having ownership over my contributions to a team is huge for me, and I’m excited to start working in an Agile workplace that can support that. I believe my experience as a self-starter in media production and curiosity for all things technical has readied me for my next chapter as a full-time front-end junior software developer. If your organization is looking for a software engineer with a strong background in media and technical teamwork, I’d love the opportunity to connect! Please reach out to me here and we can arrange a time to talk.

Back End Software Developer
Environmentalist, educator, world traveler, music lover, collaborator, lifelong language learner, running enthusiast, aspiring paella chef, 6th grade Spelling Bee champion, teacher, student, gardener and Peace Corps volunteer. I'm an enthusiastic and resilient developer with a focus on backend engineering, Ruby on Rails and creating and consuming APIs. Prior to software development, I worked in the educational and environmental sectors, teaching languages (English, Spanish and French) and ecology, and conducting trainings and intensive projects based on environmental, health and social issues. I made the switch to software development born from the desires to grow personally, to have a larger impact through tech, and to further challenge myself professionally and intellectually. Whether fleshing out the bigger picture, or deep in the weeds of a complicated feature, I love the process of researching and implementing quality code and learning from developers from all paths to discover and implement new ways to do something, and to built and maintain something great. My experiences collaborating with others and working to solve ambiguous, complex issues as an educator and Peace Corps volunteer, my lifelong pursuit of learning, puzzling, and finding solutions, and my passion for making a difference in the lives of others are just a small part of what I have to offer. If you would like to share experiences or connect, please reach out and let's arrange a time to meet!

Creative, Adaptable, Hard Working Front End Engineer!
I am a software developer about to graduate from the Turing school of software development! I am very excited to join the industry after coming from a background in the music business, management, and performance, as well as years of experience in education and higher education. The skills that I’ve gained in the past 15 years of my life as a Musician and Educator have been transferable to learning all new skill sets involved with the software development field demands. As a lifelong learner, I know the hours, and time it takes to learn new skills and the intricacies of your trade.

Front End Software Engineer with experience in Project Management
Born & raised in Wisconsin, having lived in France, and now a resident of Colorado for over a decade, I have an eclectic mix of experiences and interests as my resume probably shows. I’ve worked a lot of different jobs over the years: retail, building services (read: janitor), math tutor, and I was even a stadium vendor at Sea World for a summer. Most recently I worked in home-building managing the build of those homes until I could hand it off to a happy home-buyer. But there was something about this work that wasn’t fulfilling in the way I wanted. Leaning on my past for insight into a career-change, my varied experiences have given me insight into what I want and expect out of a career—to always be learning, trying new things, and setting new goals. I am now in the field of tech because the work is… you guessed it, eclectic! What I love most about tech, and particularly programming, is the ability to set out with a vision and see it through to its deliverable fruition. And considering all of the technologies, frameworks, and languages, the possibilities are endless. So that’s why I am here now, and maybe why you’re reading this—I’m a front-end software developer skilled in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I’m growth-minded, always looking to improve myself. I’m a people-person, easy to talk to and easy to know. And I love building, fixing, and improving anything (homes or web applications) so much that it's sometimes hard to stop the work I’ve started. I would love to bring these experiences and skills to a company who is looking for a developer who can add immediate value to a team, and contribute meaningfully to how they build, develop and maintain their products.

Front-End Software Developer | Photographer
As an avid climber and hiker, I have the desire to learn, explore, grow, and be challenged and that is what I love about adventure. This journey has led me to Software Development and I am excited to move into the Tech Industry with a focus on Frontend Development using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. For the past 6 years, I have worked in the climbing gym industry as a Team Manager/Coach for a Youth Climbing Team. Specializing in mentorship, cultivating leadership, and building community, I thrived working with athletes to help them learn and grow as climbers and people. And as a freelance photographer for the past 15 years, I am inspired by light, texture, composition, and capturing the beauty in the world around me.
